Shira Z. Carmel is a composer, singer and songwriter from Jerusalem, now based in Melbourne.
From her grandiose horns octet "The Brasserie" to her minimalistic Yiddish duo "The Technicalities" and her most successful project - the swinging, soulful vocal trio and band "The Hazelnuts", Shira's music is a colourful tapestry of bitter-sweet contemplations with a groovy heart.
